A tragic road accident has occurred at Bhuyankhat in Udalguri district along the Sipajhar–Tangla road under Asom Mala project.

According to sources, a high-speed four-wheeler travelling from the Mahaliyapara side reportedly lost control and crashed into the concrete wall of a house.

One youth, identified as Himangshu Hazarika, died on the spot in the accident. Two others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Tangla Hospital in critical condition.

The vehicle involved in the accident is reportedly an Eco-Sport, bearing registration number AS06 AS 5959.

The deceased, Himangshu Hazarika, is reportedly a resident of Mahaliyapara in Ramgaon.
